5-27-11: The park is gearing up for several programs in the next few weeks, highlighted by the big 75th Birthday Bash honoring Virginia State Parks. In connection with this party, the park will conduct its third annual Customer Appreciation Day offering a day of free programs, activities, music and fun. So join us Saturday, June 18 from 8 am to 8 pm as we assist the park with this magnificent program, which includes a free hotdog lunch and birthday cake for all visitors! Other programs coming up soon are: Junior Rangers, Junior Pioneers, The Fascinating World of Butterflies, The Grandest Valley, Women on the Frontier, Scott New as Daniel Boone: Pathfinder and much much more.
